Off to a Great Start.
With the centre on break from classes in January, we have been watering and preparing the land for the rains. Thanks to Shoprite, Accra Mall, for the 4,000-litre polytank we received last year, we have been able to keep a lot of plants well-watered, and the flowers have been blooming. Seedlings are also being prepared for the rains.
|
A special thanks to a very kind neighbour, we now have a sponsored part-time groundsman who comes in twice a week. His help has made an immense difference.

Lesson1. Creation Story!
This year, the plan is to work through Bible lessons starting from Genesis. We are also working toward integrating the Bible into all our lessons. The children are so happy to be back learning, and we are thankful to be a part of their lives.

Black History!
February marks Black History Month in the United States and for us at Children of the Light as well. To start the month, the children in both centres are learning about Ghana's current President, His Excellency John Mahama. Once this is complete, they will learn about other prominent Black figures. It is always a great time of learning for both teachers and students.

Thank you!
Thank you to Jeanette's sister, Maree Harvey, for this generous rice donation. The number of children who come here to eat is incredible, and receiving this rice is truly a blessing. We are so grateful to everyone who supports us in any way.
|
May God's love and blessings follow you all the days of your lives.

The 3 R's!
Back in January, we sent all this plastic waste to Lynamps Enterprise for recycling. A snake slid out of one of the bags—hence the sticks. Yikes!
|
The nations were angry, and your wrath has come. The time has come for judging the dead, and for rewarding your servants the prophets and your people who revere your name, both great and small, and for destroying those who destroy the earth. Revelation 11:18

Look what's ahead!
Before we continue, take a look at these beautiful hibiscus flowers spotted in the garden. They stayed together until they wilted. Nature is truly the art of God!
|
We have many plans ahead for both locations. All regular classes will continue, and we will also focus on learning more about the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) and the sad news coming out of there.

Message from Jeanette!
By God's grace, it has been good to be back in Ghana—missing family, though.
|
Each day brings new challenges, and lately, my mornings have been filled with studying God's Word. If you have never picked up the Bible, I encourage you to find one and open it. For those who already read it, I encourage you not only to read but to study. Sadly, there are many people in this world who are illiterate and can only receive God's Word from what others tell them.

|
Before I close, we have another wonderful announcement—Silas Azong, our Manager in Northern Ghana, is now a dad! His wife delivered a beautiful baby boy on Sunday morning. We now have two babies with us. We are blessed!
|
On a final note, thank you so much to everyone who supports us. This year, as you may know, we mark 20 years. To God be the glory! Much love and blessings to you all.
