Happy New Year!
We pray for God's blessings on you all in the year ahead and thank you sincerely for your support throughout the year and during the Christmas season. As you read on, you will see what we got up to.

Jesus is the reason for the season!
The children had an unforgettable time. At our Learning Centre in Kitase, Eastern Region, the children pictured below sang Christmas carols under the trees, and a drink and meal were served to 126 children. The centre was filled with laughter and joy.
|
At our branch in Northern Ghana, they performed a Christmas play titled The Indescribable Gift, during which popcorn and drinks were shared with many. Then, on 31 December, a drink and meal were served to 419 children. In total, 545 children enjoyed a delicious meal over Christmas.

The Special Gift!
We extend a special thank you to Jeanette's sister, Maree Harvey, and her mother, Pat May, for sponsoring these cool journals and stickers for all the registered children at the Learning Centre in Kitase for 2024. The children were delighted to receive such a wonderful Christmas gift.

Thank You!
A special thank you to Asantewa Opoku, Aaisha Mclaren, and Auntie Mavis and her husband, Pastor Dan, for organizing this box of gently used baby and adult clothing, books, and art supplies for us. This generous gift traveled all the way from New Zealand.
|
We will send much of the clothing to our branch in Northern Ghana. Thank you so much!

Congratulations!
We extend our heartfelt best wishes to our staff member in the North, Lawrence Laar Bingo, and his newly wedded wife, Mary Ayomah, as they begin this beautiful new chapter together.

Look what's ahead!
Currently, our teachers are on a one-month leave, and Jeanette is busy preparing for the year ahead. We have a lot of exciting activities planned! February will mark Black History Month, and we will continue our study of the African continent.
|
We will also continue teaching Bible memory verses and Bible stories, which will include a Saturday morning devotion. This is always a special time with the children.

Message from Jeanette!
My time in NZ was wonderful, with one of the highlights being the chance to work with a great team at El Shaddai Worship Centre on the Christmas play, The Indescribable Gift (pictured). What made it even more special was that my grandson, Zyaire, played that part as a shepherd.
|
Would you believe that Rev. Friday Fumbilwa, the Head Pastor of El Shaddai, organized an offering for CotL on that day? The youth also took me by surprise with a donation from a sausage sizzle fundraiser they had been running over several weeks for CotL. What a blessing! The youth are pictured in the second photo.
|
The final photo is of me with my dear mother at the Adelaide Botanical Gardens, admiring the Chihuly Exhibition. I had a wonderful Christmas with family in Adelaide before heading back to Ghana.
