READING PROGRAM - AWARDS CEREMONY!
The Awards Ceremony for our 6-Week Reading Program went well. Six prize winners each went home with a bag of great items, including a children's Bible, a storybook, school supplies, and products from Top Choco Ghana, Flora Tissue and Tango Prime Wash. Certificates were also awarded. The children's bibles and carry bags were sponsored by GTS Drilling. We have many more to give out, and they will be awarded to children who participate and excel in upcoming programs.
This year, we didn’t have many children commit to all six weeks of reading, but those who did definitely moved up a reading level. The day was also enjoyed with a meal of jollof rice, fried chicken, Top Choco chocolate drink, and a delicious cake made by our volunteer and neighbour Katherine Yentumi.

Northern Centre!
The children continue to stay busy at our branch in Northern Ghana. They are doing very well and continue to enjoy the classes led by our manager, Silas Azong. One of their projects this past month was learning about Ethiopia. Slowly but surely, our children are learning all the countries on this great continent.
Another highlight of the month was colouring booklets about wise King Solomon’s judgment when two women claimed the same child (1 Kings 3:16–28). They children also learned about Abraham's faith.

Jump, Jump, Jump!
We recently received a trampoline donation from Rita Komadja, and Faith Konu organised for it to be assembled. There is a small issue with the net, as one of the rods broke during transportation. Faith is looking into it, and for now, as you can see, the children themselves are acting as a barrier in place of the net. It has brought a lot of laughter to the centre.

Thank you!

We also sent a package of goods (pictured) to our branch in Northern Ghana, which included gently used clothing from Majel Aidoo and Kalon Experience, school supplies, and items from the donation.

Busy on the Land!
We continue to weed, plant, and harvest. We recently received a lovely selection of tree seedlings, which we picked up from Trees4Life in the Springfield Community. We've started planting some out the front, and there are many more to go.
We always welcome volunteers; if you love working on the land, send us a message. We’d love to hear from you!

Look what's ahead!
Our next major program is the Mathematics Competition, which will take place in both locations. We also aim to run a 'Faith & Learning Camp' during the school holidays, beginning at the end of July and continuing through August.
In addition, we will be celebrating our 20th anniversary in August. We pray for God’s favour and provision for all that lies ahead.

Message from Jeanette!
Thank you to everyone who supports us. Words truly cannot express my gratitude. As we’ve grown over the years, so have our overheads, and the reality is, we often fall short. Yet by God’s grace, we continue pressing on, trusting in His faithfulness.
If you're able to support our work in any way, we would be deeply grateful. May Jesus be your rock, your strength, and may He grant you peace.
And remember the words of the Lord Jesus, that He said, ‘It is more blessed to give than to receive.’ Acts 20:35
