PRAISE NEWS

Edition 51 - December 2023

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas!

We are busily preparing for our Christmas events. This year, we will not only have a performance in Kitase, but also at our branch in Northern Ghana. Excitement is in the air!

Teens Program

On 17th November, we held a Teens Program at the centre that drew attendees of all ages, this was due to the topic discussed on 'Child Trafficking.' Special thanks to Board Member, Paulett Opoku, for her informative presentation.

We celebrated a wedding

We extend our congratulations to our staff member in the North East Region, Silas Anukaru, and his wife, Jessica Atie, for their wedding on Saturday, 2nd December.

Goods to the NORTH!

We recently sent a large quantity of goods to our branch in Northern Ghana and to friends of Children of the Light in the Oti Region. This included clothes, books, school supplies, and goodies from TOP CHOCO Ghana. A big thank you to TOP CHOCO, Groundup Ghana, and all who donated towards this endeavour.

Fulani Children

Our group of Fulani children continue to excel. At the beginning of the year, they struggled to hold a pencil as they had never had the chance to attend school. Now, look at them, some are mastering double addition. They always enjoy the classes, and we applaud their teachers, Silas Azong and Rita Wuni for their dedication.

Building a small pavilion

We are in the process of constructing a small pavilion at our branch in Northern Ghana. The goal is to have it ready for the Christmas performance. In the New Year, it will be used for our programs and the after-school classes in Dibisi.

Look what's ahead!

We have a second wedding this month. Our long-term staff member, Patience Akunduo is getting married. We wish them both all the best as they prepare for their special day.
On a different note, we have some wonderful visitors coming soon. Our next newsletter will provide more details.
Not only do we have Christmas concerts coming up, but we also have a time where we share colourful hygiene packs to the elderly. We will be doing this in Kitase and in the North. The children are colouring the hand-made envelopes for this event. It's always a joyous occasion as the children sing while sharing.

Message from Jeanette

We are so thankful for all that has taken place since our last newsletter. To God be the glory! I cannot thank you enough for your support. May God richly bless you all.
As we prepare to share the Christmas message, I pray that God fills our hearts with love. Wishing you all a blessed Christmas and New Year.
