The Awards Ceremony Was a Blast!
On Saturday, 4th July, we held the Awards Ceremony for our month of reading at our centre in Kitase, Eastern Region. The children enjoyed a great day with delicious food, and the winners were awarded great prizes, which included a Unite to Light solar light from Tema International School - CAS Initiative, and a medal donated by Lisa Brown in Adelaide, Australia. As we also held the month of reading at our centre in the North East Region, they are yet to hold their finale. We plan to do this soon.

Never a Dull Moment!
Our centre in the North East Region of Northern Ghana is doing well! The classes are filled with fun and learning. Check out below a little of what they have been up to. We continue to work with a large number of children, and they are divided into smaller groups throughout the week. We have our full-time Manager and Head Teacher, Silas Azong, who works with his assistant, Alice Ayomah, whom we are working toward bringing on full-time.

Jollof Rice!
We received three copies of this delightful book, 'The Jollof Tasting Officers' by Klenam and Fabrizio, during our month of reading. It was donated to us by Eva Maria from Books & Bites GH. Do subscribe to their YouTube channel using the link above. This is a channel with faith-filled stories and life lessons designed to nurture good habits and strong values in children.

Colourful Corn Harvest!
The start of the corn harvest this year has been so colourful. We made a point of collecting various kernel to make this happen. We are so grateful for what comes in off the land it is such a blessing to many.

The land produced vegetation: plants bearing seed according to their kinds and trees bearing fruit with seed in it according to their kinds. And God saw that it was good. Genesis 1:12

A Friday in July, our centre in the North East Region will be holding their Awards Ceremony. On Saturday, 25th July, we will hold a Career Day in Kitase, and on Friday, 7th August, we are going to be celebrating 21 years of operation. WOW, 21 years! We will also start preparing for our 2026 Faith and Learning Day Camp, which will take place throughout the school vacation which starts at the end of July.

Message from Jeanette!
Last week, I lost my brother, Ross, to a long illness. It has been a time of deep reflection. I thank God I had the opportunity to pray for him each time I called during his last days. I pray for my dear mother and siblings as they prepare for the funeral. Ross has been a great support to my work in Ghana over the years, for which I am truly grateful.

I believe you heard about the Accra flooding. Sadly, this happens every year, with this latest one being absolutely terrible. I pray that individuals and leaders will start making changes, starting with that dreaded plastic bag. Ban it or refuse it.
At the same time, my prayers also go out to families that are facing the injustices of an oppressor invading their countries. May the cry of these people be heard, and I pray that we as Christians will stand in solidarity with Palestine and Lebanon.

On a final note, thank you so much for your ongoing support of our work. May God bless you for all you do to help us. Together, we really are making a difference.
To God be the glory.
